Benefits of good feeding practices Large litter (8-12 piglets per sow) Heavier and healthier pigs at birth (>1 kg) Sufficient milk production by the sows Mortality of piglets reduced
Feed ingredients-
Feed ingredients Concentrate can be prepared on mixing of following six types of feed ingredients. Grains-maize, wheat, barley etc.(30%). Vegetable protein-Soyabean meal, Groundnut oil cakes (6-12%). Animal protein- Fish meal, poultry offal's (8%). Cereal by products-Wheat bran, rice bran(40-80%). Mineral mixture(1.5%). Common salts (0.5%).
