Personal Letters
Write persona letters
Friendly or personal leters are means of communication through letter. We normally write
Jeter to loved ones, including mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, lovers, wives,
husbands, teaches, fiends, ete
We normally use statements such as ‘Dear mother’ ‘Dear father’’Dearsister’yDear fiend, ‘hi
daddy’,’ hi mummy’, ‘hi aunt’. in the greeting (introduction part). We use expressions such as
“your loving daughter’‘your loving son’, ‘your loving……’, ‘missing you…..in the closing
remarks
Components of a friendly letter
1. Writer’s address -writen ontop right hand corner
2. Date below the sender address.
3. Salutation – comes aftr the address.
4. Main body-states the aim or purpose ofthe let.
5. Closing statement-ending the let.
6. Signature and name ofthe wrter/sender- extreme end ofthe letter
