ACTINIC KERATOSIS
Actinic keratosis is a the UV light induced lession of the skin that may be progressive to invasive squamous cell carcinoma. It is by far the most common lession with malignant potential to arise on the skin.

Symptoms include

Rough, dry, or scaly patch of skin

Its diagnosis typically made through visual examination by a health care provider on patient skin.If there is uncertainity biopsy may be recommended to confirm diagnosis

.Medication; topical creams of gels like fluorouracil, imiquimoid or diclofenac may be prescribed to remove multiple actinic keratosis
2.surgical and other procedure >Cryotherapy(freezing) liquid nitrogen is used to freeze and remove actinic keratosis
Scraping(curettage ) with electrosurgery; is an electric current to destroy effected tissue.

Regular follow up appointment with your health provider are recommended even after treatment for monitoring any signs of recurrence or progression of skin cancer
Sun protection measures such as wearing sun screen, protective cloth, avoiding excessive sun exposure are crucial in managing Aks and preventing further demage
